ACE certified personal trainer

Hi I’m Adrienne!
I first got into fitness in 2013 and have not looked back since. I fell in love with lifting weights and strength. I believe everyone deserves to feel this way. Everyone deserves access to fitness if they so choose. Everyone deserves access to correct information about the things that affect their health. That’s why I’m here.
I was already majoring in nutrition when I started my fitness journey. Naturally, the two went hand in hand very well. In 2016, I graduated from UC Berkeley with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition. Go bears! After undergrad, I decided that I wasn’t satisfied and attended Northeastern University for my Master’s of Science in Applied Nutrition. I graduated in 2019 from that program where I became passionate about science and nutrition communication. In the midst of my Master’s degree, I noticed how much misinformation there is in this industry, especially on social media. Using my education, I started breaking down common nutrition and fitness myths or misinformation on my social media accounts. This is my true passion – truth and evidence.
During this time, I also worked at a gym and started coaching fitness classes. Seeing people so frustrated and overwhelmed with the nutrition information on the internet fueled a fire in me to do my part in combatting it.
Well I soon realized it’s a never ending battle! While I still educate and share a lot of free evidence-based information, individualized coaching felt like the best next step. I’ve now coached many people from all different stages in their fitness journey.
My coaching is based on 3 principles: sustainability, flexibility, and empowerment. Over the years of my education and experience, I have found that health and fitness are not one-size-fits-all and the best strategy is one that allows the client to sustain their changes over a long period of time. This also results in healthier habits and a more enjoyable experience. I’m much more concerned about your overall health, rather than a quick-fix that doesn’t last.
My goal is to help you make the changes you need to improve your quality of life, gain some muscles, but most importantly, gain confidence and courage to be your best self.
